HEALTH & SAFETY

No lost time due to injuries since 2003.

Occupational safety and health is an integral aspect of the philosophy and management systems at Wilmot Engineering. It is our belief that the absence of injury and ill-health will enable us to operate efficiently and effectively.

Wilmot Engineering promotes and maintains a safe and healthy working environment for all employees and contractors through the implementation of its occupational safety and health management systems. Wilmot Engineering aims to continually review and improve these systems, to ensure it remains compliant with Australian Standard 4801:2001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems).

The objectives of this policy are to:

  1. Prevent injuries and disease to employees and contractors;
  2. Eliminate or control occupational safety and health hazards;
  3. As a minimum, comply with all relevant occupational health and safety legislation;
  4. Promote an attitude and culture amongst its workforce that places importance on working in a safe and healthy manner;
  5. Foster consultation between management and employees on safety and health matters.

This policy recognizes that there is a collective responsibility binding management, employees, contractors and visitors to the achievement of these objectives.
